IGCSE PATHWAY

All NIS students who elect to follow the “IGCSE Pathway” are required to take EIGHT (8) or more IGCSE subjects over a two year period. These are divided into SIX (6) compulsory subjects, and TWO (2) optional subjects.

COMPULSORY SUBJECTS (Taken by all NIS students

  • English as a Second Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Information Communication Technology ( Computers)

 

2010 / 2011 OPTION SUBJECT A3

Students will be required to select their preferred subject from the following

  1. Arabic as a 1st Language
  2. Economics
  3. History

2010 / 2011 OPTION SUBJECT B3

Students will be required to select one of the following

  1. Accounting
  2. English Literature
  3. Arabic as a 2ND Language

 

3These classes will be subject to teacher availability and sufficient student numbers.

 

ADDITONAL IGCSE COURSES

NIS will be offering a number of additional IGCSE courses. These courses will take place after school hours and are open to all students from G9 – G12. Details of these courses and the associated fees will be made available at the start of the school year. These courses will only run if there is sufficient demand.
